TMI Tuesday – 18 October 2011

I’m not sure how interesting my answers are but…

1. “I’ll show you mine if you show me yours”…What is it that you will show me?
My answers to these questions. Or anything else you fancy, I’m not shy.

2. What was the last thing you regret buying?
I tend to choose carefully so I can’t actually think of anything I regret buying.

3. How happy are you? 1 = not happy at all  to  5 = very happy
All of the above. My life is not simple enough to be reduced to a single number.

4. Last night, what did you go to bed thinking about?
Perrin and Mat and how much I love them both. As usual.

5. Tell us something that made you happy this past week or made you think “that’s cool!”
I had a lot of fun on a picnic on my day off, but more of that another time.

Bonus: What is your favourite mark of punctuation? Why?
It’s hard to choose just one but I’m going to say the semi-colon. It’s under (and badly) used in English; not least by me I’m sure and my geeky alter ego has used a lot of them when programming so I should be suitably grateful to them.

TMI Tuesday – 4 October 2011

Answering these questions made me realise how limited my experience of breaking up actually is, but here are my answers anyway.

1. What’s the worst reason you have been given for breaking up?
The worst reason was actually no reason at all. My first serious boyfriend broke up with me and wouldn’t give me any idea why. I hated not knowing what went wrong.

2. What’s the worst reason you gave, to someone, for breaking up?
The worst, for me, was trying to explain that I still loved him, but I also loved someone else, and therefore (as they both insisted) I had to choose. I wish I’d known polyamory even existed in those days, I wouldn’t have felt so weird for not wanting to choose.

3. Have you ever engineered the end of a relationship e.g doing something you know will put the other person off? If yes, what did you do?
No. I’m just not that devious.

4. Have you ever stayed with a partner just because you could not bear to end it?
No, although I’ve stayed too long hoping things would improve. Thankfully, I finally realised they wouldn’t and got out.

5. Have you ever encouraged a friend to end a relationship? What happened? Are you still friends?
I’ve never told anyone directly that they should end a relationship. That’s a decision people have to make for themselves. I might point out where there are problems though.

Bonus: Have you ever been the cause of a relationship to end? Tell us about it.
No I haven’t, and I have no desire to be.

TMI Tuesday – 13 September 2011

This weeks topic is dating.

1. You’re on a speed date. You’ve got 7 minutes with the potential partner. You already know the person’s name. What are the first three questions you would ask?
I have absolutely no idea. I’d be useless at having a conversation under such time pressure. I guess speed dating isn’t for me.

2. Have you ever participated in speed dating? Did you get a regular date/second date out of it?
No. Never done it, see above.

3. Do you participate in online dating? How many dates have you had as a result of online dating sites/matches?
Never done this either.

4. You are attracted to:
a. Who people are?
b. What people have?
c. What they can do?
It’s what is inside a person that’s important. A nice smile always gets my attention, but isn’t enough to keep it.

5. What “little red flag” will cause you to end a date or immediately decide this person isn’t for you?
Boredom. If someone is dull or stupid then we’re not going to make it to a second date.

6. What do you feel you need to sacrifice or have sacrificed to be a part of a relationship?
I don’t think I’ve ever thought that I’ve sacrificed anything for a relationship. I’ve compromised, yes, but if it feels like ‘making a sacrifice’ then you’re not getting a fair payoff in exchange.

7. If you cooked for your date, what would you cook?
Depends on what I thought they would like and how much notice I had. I can do three course dinner or casual supper as required.

8. At the end of a first date, how would you kiss your date?
a. Press your lips against theirs
b. Gentle kiss on the cheek
c. Lots o’ tongue, like you’re on a tonsil exploration
d. I don’t kiss on the first date
It depends how well the date has gone. Could be any of the above.

Bonus:  You just put up a profile on a dating site. You must describe yourself in 10 words or less. What are your 10 words?
Geeky, kinky and poly. Find the rest out for yourself.

TMI Tuesday – 6 September 2011

Here’s a game I’ve not played before, but the questions were quite fun so I thought I’d give it a go.

1. What do you wear to sleep in?
Nothing. Unless it’s really cold when I may resort to a t-shirt to protect my shoulders.

2. Do you ever walk around your own place naked?
Yes, frequently. Who doesn’t?

3. Have you or would you ever answer the door naked?
I have and would but only to someone who would appreciate it.

4. What part of your body do you like to be on show? Why?
I couldn’t pick one bit over another. In general I’d like the whole effect to be appreciated not just little bits..

5. When sunbathing how much do you bare?
At home everything, elsewhere it depends on what’s legal. I do burn really easily so I actually tend to stay out of the sun.

6. Have you or would you bare all on a naturist (nude) beach?
The only time I’ve been to a naturist beach I actually kept most of my clothes on (that’s another story) but I certainly would if I’d gone there for the beach (or sea).

7. Have you ever flashed your bits in public? If not would you if it turned your partner on?
Which bits? People have probably seen quite a bit of me on various occasions though if they were looking, yes.

8. Have you ever given a striptease or has anyone given you one? Did you enjoy it?
My Dom has ordered me to, so yes, but although I’m comfortable being naked I hate actually getting naked, so no, I didn’t enjoy it.

9. Ever gone skinny dipping? Alone or with others?
I’ve tried to go skinny dipping a couple of times, but somehow people have always come along before we actually made it into the water.

10. Do you like to look at naked people or do you want show off your nakedness?

Bonus:  Sexually speaking, what’s the furthest you would go with a partner in public? Have you had sex in public?
I’ve had sex, fairly discreetly, in public a few times (one of them was that naturist beach) but I think we got away with it.
